No. The Caprani is a plug-in floor lamp with a 59.1″ cord and standard wall plug. Just plug it in and use the inline switch on the cord — no electrician or installation required.

What bulb does it use?

A standard E26 (or E27) base — the most common socket in the US. LED or Edison-style bulbs both work. Bulb not included. We recommend a warm-toned bulb (2700–3000K) to complement the beechwood and linen shade.
