Lunara Textured Disc Wall Light

Description

Black travertine, frosted glass, and walnut —

rough texture, luminous halo.

The Lunara Textured Disc Wall Light layers contrasting natural materials into a striking sculptural form. A hand-carved volcanic stone backplate provides a deep, matte texture, while the front disc — crafted from frosted, ice-textured glass — glows with soft, atmospheric warmth. At the centre, a smooth walnut accent acts as a visual anchor, creating a balanced interplay of rough, luminous, and organic elements. When illuminated, the glass disc diffuses light in a gentle halo.

About the black travertine — genuine natural stone with a matte black surface finish

The backplate of this wall light is made from genuine travertine stone. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating — rather than left in its natural off-white state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure of genuine travertine are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The entire stone presents a consistent matte black — this is exactly as it was designed to be.

Natural travertine — formed by geological processes

Travertine is formed in the natural environment through thousands of years of complex physical and chemical processes. Even beneath the black surface, the pore distribution and stone characteristics of each piece remain entirely unique.
