Vulcan Stone Pendant Light

Description

Hand-carved black travertine and walnut —

sculpted geometry, every piece one of a kind.

The Vulcan Stone Pendant Light brings together raw natural texture and refined craftsmanship. Hand-carved from deep charcoal travertine, its sculpted geometric form reveals subtle pores and organic variations that make every piece unique. A smooth walnut-wood cap adds warmth and balance — creating a striking contrast between dark stone and natural grain. Ideal for kitchen islands, dining nooks, bedside lighting, or wabi-sabi and Japandi interiors.

Travertine notices

About the black travertine — genuine natural stone with a matte black surface finish

The shade of this pendant is made from genuine travertine stone, hand-carved into its sculpted geometric form. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating — rather than left in its natural off-white state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The pores and organic variations visible in each piece are authentic expressions of the stone — no two are identical.

Natural travertine — formed by geological processes

Travertine is formed in the natural environment through thousands of years of complex physical and chemical processes. Even beneath the black surface, the pore distribution and stone characteristics of each piece remain entirely unique.

Bulb & Light Source: E26 (US/CA) or E27 (EU/AU)

Compatible with LED and Edison filament bulbs. A warm Edison filament bulb (2700–3000K) is recommended — the compact downward design provides focused, atmospheric illumination that highlights the sculptural stone form.

Downloads: Frequently Asked Questions

Is each piece truly unique?

Yes — because the pendant is hand-carved from natural travertine, the subtle pores, surface variations, and organic imperfections in each piece will differ slightly. This is considered a feature, not a defect, and is central to the wabi-sabi character of the design.

Is the travertine naturally black?

No — travertine is naturally off-white. The matte black finish is a surface coating applied to the genuine stone. The natural pore structure, weight, and density are fully preserved beneath.

Can the cable be extended?

Is this certified for North America?

Yes. Compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia. AC 110–240V.
